2. Adding flaxseed to any of the foods you already consume can help lower blood pressure. Flaxseed contains four main compounds; alpha linolenic acid, lignans, peptides, and fiber. Try adding a protein shake or smoothie along with your breakfast and add flaxseed to it, this is one of the easier ways to consume flaxseed.
3. Consuming dark chocolate or cocoa items can help lower blood pressure in people that already are suffering from high blood pressure or pre-high blood pressure. However, the only down fall is that consuming dark chocolate or cocoa will not help lower a normal blood pressure.
4. Another natural way to lower blood pressure is to consume beet juice. Beets contain nitrates, which help ease and lower blood pressure. Research has shown that people who have consumed beet juice have seen a drop in their blood pressure as soon as 6 to 8 hours after drinking the juice.
